I find it hard to fight with their claims, so I can just assume that both are right. Maybe we should flood the streets with pot AND guns. That seems about right.
Today I learned the stories in the news develop faster than I draw.
President Barack Obama’s speech from a few days ago – “I will not put American boots on the ground in Syria”:
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to retire within 12 months. Quoting Forbes:
“Ballmer, who has drawn criticism from investors for allowing rivals like Apple and Google to outrun Microsoft in mobile devices, is currently trying to transform Microsoft to focus on devices and services rather than just software.”
This cartoon demonstrated the concept of adaptation – given enough time, we’ll get used to anything, annoying (or good) as it may be.
This concept is nicely explained in Dan Ariely’s book “The Upside of Irrationality” (chapter 6), and is also demonstrated in this old cartoon of mine.
